Despite overwhelming odds, Sir Tobias was NOT the first to fall... (he made that ONE Dex check on his LAST round of suffacation...)

Mirelda will be missed Sad

She will be missed greatly. I loved the character and the concept both. I'm sorry this happened, as both Annie and Michelle know (I talked with them a little more at length).

But, please, let me implore you all now . . . have another character prepped! My feelings are that I'd much rather see everyone make it from beginning to end with the character they start with, but this campaign is being run differently than those I've done in the past. I'm not fudging rolls, and sometimes circumstances themselves may work out against you, as we saw this last session. The possibility will always exist in this campaign of character death -- from beginning to end. There are locations scattered throughout the entire campaign that allow for new characters to enter, meaning if someone should perish (even earlier in a night), a new character may very well be able to enter within minutes of the last one's death (if the player so desires).

I feel this is as good a place as any to state this. Be prepared for any possible eventuality. Have a backup or two prepped -- just in case.

With that said, our first casualty was a hard one to bear, so I'm glad that if it had to happen, it happened at the end of the night at a good ending point. I needed some time to recover, as well!

I would like to say that Bisera would have sat a while just looking at her fallen friend and then curled up and slept near her. Just thinking about it it making me teary... will have to post my post later...

Bisera will always remember the shock and smile from Mirelda when she first met her!

A life lesson about trying on unknown items...

Necklace of stragulation Sad

Y'know... it seems like everyone is ALWAYS afraid to try on items, and we so RARELY come across cursed ones... For that matter without a mage in the group, we had no IN character reason to assume they WERE magical... So really... adventurers are SUPPOSED to try on their new treasure... Though it does seem like everytime we DO choose to do the foolhardy... THAT'S when it's cursed Shocked

But we were trapped under there and trying to see if anything would get us to the surface... there were some glass vials that some insane dwarf smashed when the tossed the little chest aside... but so far we're still down in that room.

guess I better plan out a couple more PC's for the next session. the main needs to be put down on paper after I print the sheets tonight. then approval of his final form the backups will be a little more straight forward I think.
