I hate you all but I love amazon.com
Ok thanks to my rediscovered joy of D&D and gaming in general I just purchased 16 books most 2nd edition stuff. Thankfully it only cost $100 nicks with shipping. So as I have often stated there are no cheap hobbies and I hate you all for getting me reobsessed with it again.
You may now start the "one if us." replies and other what not. I will post the book list later tonight. Chances are if you want it I got it tho.

you dont need to buy all of the books. Just download the PDF files on 4shared.com
Of course, to print it all out would cost over a hundred dollars in toner, so you probably made out like a bandit.

In some ways I am still a traditionalist. Paper pencil and books are required. Minatures are optional but suggested. Too me a rpg without all that stuff is World of Warcraft or Elder scrolls. As fir expansion Matt you have my copy of the BESM rules and I do have Hot rods and gun bunnies too. As for cost my original oriental adventures book cost me $.99 so even PDF costs more than that just to plug in my PC.

Okay, so I'm a SUPER late poster on this one, but I do have some solid leads for you on some of the stuff you want Matt. Insofar as the World of Darkness, and Floating Vagabond stuff goes you'll definately want to take a peek at http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/index.php It's basically a site for entirely abandoned books and such available for download for a pretty small fee per book. Regardless, they have alot of older white wolf stuff, and pretty much every single Floating Vagabond book ever printed available.
Now, for Marvel, I SUPER STRONGLY suggest going to THIS site. http://www.classicmarvelforever.com/ It has pretty much every single book, and annual character update book, not to mention about half of the boxed adventures scanned and provided in PDF format for free. Myself, I'm loving just reading all the "Lands of Doom" boxed set books.
Have fun with it as you will!

Also... not EVERYTHING there is official. They also have lots of stuff from the Mailing lists and scrounged from the web...
Check out House rules and "ressurection"
