The Future of CoRD? Empty The Future of CoRD?

Post  Colin Marcus Wed Jan 20, 2010 12:35 am

Well... I'm not particularly sure this is where it should go... But I wanted to get a thread started about where everyone sees there characters in the future. What their goals are and when they see themselves doing it!

FYI a LOT of time will pass by between the next 2-3 games and while I only speak for myself... I personally do NOT want to know what the future of the Realms has in store. If something MAJOR happened in the books... Leave that quiet till we actually GET to that time in the games Wink

Still The continuity is going to continue, so it'll be nice to know where the characters are at any given time...

ELRIC!

1372 (First Campaign): Xvim the Flaming Dragon Avatar is killed. Calimport is trashed. Elric and Ashara get married in Impresk.

Not sure how long will Pass, but the goal is to go to Evereska and help with the seige. Throughout their travels, they will continue to search for Information involving Elric's Mother.

1374 (Second Campaign): Age 24, Maintaining a home base in Impresk, Still occasionally adventuring... Details fuzzy yet. At 16th level Elric will have undoubtably attracted a couple of followers/trainees. Lower level of CoRD house may/may not have been appropriated as a dojo Wink Ashara/Elric may still be living at CoRD house, May have moved into Josiah's house by the shrine... May or may not be child...

Lots of Answers still in debate depending on who is still around. If the big house if veritably empty, then it wouldn't go to waste Wink

1376 (Other): Age 26, See above. Most likely at least one Child running around. Elric comfortable in his role as Trainer. Spending more time around Impresk, though still adventuring when the mood strikes. Rosemorn's or Uncle Therogeon Tapped to babysit as needed Very Happy

1384 (third Campaign... I think) Age 34, No idea... Hopefully still alive, Based out of Impresk. More students. Kids a little older, Probably join their parents on some of the low risk adventures, Possibly begin training in their own future endeavers... Priesthood, Mage school, etc.

Some ideas are still forming, and this can alter based on what seems the most fun at the moment... One thing I'm sure of, there WILL be more details as more answers float in cheers

Gwilly

1372
Calimport craziness!!

1374
Off somewhere partying...

1376
same as above...

1384
I'll give you 3 guesses and the first 2 don't count.

Ok, in all seriousness, I really don't know where she would be. I'm sure she will spend a little time in Imprisk, a little time back home in the Misty Vale. Heck, she might even visit that one forest with the leprechaun... Wink Maybe she will fall in love... Who knows!

LOL.... But Gwilly is one of the Wild cards!! We're REALLY curious what plans and goals she has?!

I know Kaber is planning on returning to his people, Therogeon/Elric/and Ashara are living/basing out of Impresk, and Eddick will undoubtably start wandering again in search of SOMETHNG that has the power to smite him! (I thought he had it with the MHW... but APPARENTLY he needs something BIGGER!?!)

Once the group splits up a bit, which faction would she hang around with? Or is she a free range pixie now Wink

FYI.. Elric would LOVE to see the land of the pixies Smile He can speak their language Very Happy

Okay, now that we've worked out a few more details....

Ashara

1372 (First Campaign): Xvim the Flaming Dragon Avatar is killed. Calimport is trashed. Elric and Ashara get married in Impresk.

Not sure how long will Pass, but the goal is to go to Evereska and help with the seige. Throughout their travels, they will continue to search for Information involving Elric's Mother.

1373, 26th of Flamerule - A son is born to Elric and Ashara. They name him Arturo after Elric's father.

1374
(Second Campaign): Age 24 (28 if you count all the life-sucking spells Razz ), Maintaining a home base in Impresk. Apparently not TOO much adventuring done this past year, as their twins are born on the 21st of Kythorn! A son named Romen, and a daughter they name Me'awen. While Elric is training his first students in the Salk-Sirrma, a young priest from Darrowmar named Davion Lorvistad arrives in Impresk, seeking to become Ashara's disciple.

The Altar of the Dawn (the shrine to Lathander in Impresk) will become the Chapel of the Dawn, when a small building is erected around the shrine to shelter it and the devotees from the elements.

1376 (Other): Age 26 (30...), Getting out adventuring when possible. The kidlets are three and two two-year-olds (wonder what THAT's like... Rolling Eyes ) at this point, and the Rosemorns and Uncle Therogeon are tapped to babysit if needed. Very Happy Davion in charge of the Chapel while they are away.

1384 (third Campaign): Age 34 (sigh...), "Hopefully still alive" - quoted for truth. Based out of Impresk. She's likely training more priests at this point, and THINKING about building a temple in Impresk, though she's not ready to put on the white robes quite yet. Maybe in a few more years...

Kids are eleven and ten and probably joining their parents on some of the low risk adventures/road trips. "Everyone into the flaming chariot... STOP hitting your Brother or I'll turn this RIGHT around!!!" LOL... STILL laughing about that one! Wink

They will possibly be beginning training in their own future endeavors... Priesthood, Mage school, etc. Romen will most definitely be a bard! sunny

So basically we get 4 years to play with. Okay. That will severely limit the number of things on Eddick's list.

So much for creating a network of Stonehenges with portals to each other... Sigh.

Okay, just so Pat can't kill their third child before he is even born, we've decided that Romen and Me'awen will be twins. It has been edited! These kids are future character possibilities... Very Happy

There was talk of another child or so after 1376... Pat MAY kill that one before it's born Wink

Apparently followers of Lathander (God of Births) have LARGE families.... Probably good since they're starting a family line Very Happy

okay, guess i gotta put something down...though it is still kinda up in the air. need to finish with ben and talk with pat about where i would like to go with this.

-going to a wedding. after all the talk of love and marriage and the baby carriage, he is darn sure going to be there and see what all the fuss is about...and eat cake.

-do some helping with elric and ashara to find elric's mommy, if he is told about it.

-will travel with said couple to evereska to check things out and see if there is anything that can be done.

-probably go north at that point, back to the spine and to his people. would love to have his friends along, but probably won't happen...but they would be great "show and tell". basically he has yet to figure out how to educate his peeps. then once that is done, what to do with them. ideally would like to go clan to clan and gather those willing to learn and who are interested in the "new life". (kaber has now become a traveling preacher).

-as for what to do with them, if any are actually willing to look to something better, then what do you do with several really strong beings that are considered monsters? could send them out into the world to let them learn and make minotaur more acceptable. or could start gathering them to form a nation and start relations and trade with other races. kaber DOES NOT! want to be their leader, but may need to somewhat be head organizer for some time. also, if nation, does need to find out a way to safely propigate his species and may need help/guidence/advice/spells from ashara and eddick

-would like to have his home in the impresk area as much as possible. would also like to aid in rearing the children of his new clan as is the minotaur custom Twisted Evil however, he would not give up his travels and adventures.

-probably going to be learning more human and race relation skills and traveling more openly. kinda an ambassador of kicking butt.

those are the loose plans for now. need to see some outcomes and find out some future things before actually setting anything in stone.

YES! If Kaber is around, than he's welcome to the entire bottom floor of the CoRD house, since Gwilly's partying, Eddick's travelling, and Therogeon has his own tower in town! Maybe Kaber can be "practice" for Elric's new students... Watch out kids, THIS practice dummy hits BACK! Shocked It would be fun if Uncie Kaber was around for the kidlets too. I can see that perhaps Gwilly won't be the ONLY one to sit on his head holding his horns to steer him! Oh, and the minotaur is on diaper duty!

it's nothing bad...but considering minotaur mating is essentially forceful and births do kill the mother most of the time, they would need options, probably magical/herbal/something so that minotaur can actually attract females (minotaur dating is a whole other area that i'm dreading the learning process on). otherwise kaber's dream will be over in a generation.

Ashara wrote:Oh, and the minotaur is on diaper duty!
NEVER!!! kaber don't do diapers. he was raised free range and that's what he believes in cheers

also, depending on how bad evereska is and how long that seige lasts, kaber may actually have time to gather his people and march on down to help...perhaps a quick stop in dagadar for some upgrades first Cool

once they appear, that seige will be over in under 30 min!!

The Future of CoRD? Empty Future Therogeon

Post  MrPrettyPretty Sat Jan 23, 2010 6:36 pm

umm, I'm going to go out on a limb and say....he will be Alive.

You laugh, but I know Pat. He's killed people behind the scenes before.

Seriously though, umm,

- Tower
- Train Apprentices
- New magic spells
- New magic items (for everyone whee!)

If love and marriage and kids find their way in there, great. If not, oh well.

Oh, and watching Imperisk grow into a larger town. I mean, let's face it. If a few of the famous CoRD are living there, it will attract more people, more people mean a larger town. It won't happen overnight, but in a few years, Imperisk could be a thriving small community, a few more years, a busteling town, to a few more years, a small city....with a port for minataur pirates.

Oh, dude . . . now that's a calling for Kaber's people! Impresk would have the most hellacious navy in all Faerun! Imagine if they perfected the longboat! Minotaur Vikings! Able to travel along the shallowest of rivers, nowhere in all the land would be safe! What a phenomenal idea! That's all win! cheers
