Letter to Aldern Foxglove

Letter to Aldern Foxglove

Post  Saoirse on Fri May 06, 2011 9:52 pm

*** Upon the decaying dining room table within Foxglove Manor, Morelen sets a folded piece of parchment atop a small pile of odds and ends. A quill, an inkwell, and the winning medal from the scarecrow competition during the Swallowtail Festival. This letter, addressed simply to 'Aldern' is sealed with an unstamped blotch of black wax, and is written in the painfully elegant script of a seasoned scribe. ***

Morelen wrote:My Dear Lord Foxglove,

I will soon return to your Misgivings as you've requested of me but until then I must beg that you refrain from taking any more lives. I cannot begin to imagine what has happened to you in the last few weeks since our boar hunt. You seem to have...changed somehow, though I do not fear what you have become. Perhaps I should... If there is still something of the Aldern we knew left in you and if you truly love me as you profess in your notes, then you will wait for me with no further shedding of blood.

I will come to you.

~ Morelen

P.S. I've left you a quill and full inkwell in case you'd run out and thus had to resort to using blood to pen your notes.
